We envision a secure, resilient, and regulated information and infrastructure environment in which members of the Indiana University community are vigilant, safe, and confident in the pursuit of institutional and individual goals.
Information and Infrastructure Assurance (IIA) coordinates the development of programs, processes, and guidance, in the form of policies and standards, related to:
- appropriate use and deployment of general technologies
- protection of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and data delivery systems, whether threatened by malice or accident
- continuity of business functions, including disaster preparation and recovery of technologies
At the behest of the president, IIA is now also involved in emergency communications and in general emergency preparedness, as well as physical safety and security of persons and facilities.
IIA Units
The units of IIA manage information-related risks through sound policies and security strategies.
